Peri and Ashton asked if they could build a fort- pretty sure they used every single blanket in our house.

Silly girls on the tramp one sunny afternoon

this is my sweet friend, Jaxxon Long- love this kid.  All the 8th graders decided to pile every reading buddy we have onto Jaxxon's chair- love that smile.

Peri's art- inspired by Andy Warhol

Nothin gets past Peri

Amy's here!!! Aug. 18-21

This was the funnest reunion- while we were picking up Afton from Art Camp week; we ran into the beloved Carter's. I love these people. They haven't even changed. They look, talk, laugh exactly like they did when we were backyard neighbors. It was so fun to catch up with them!

One of Aftie's paintings! Isn't she amazing

We had to go to Archibald's in Gardner's Village for fried green tomatoes. To die for.

The fabulous and amazing solar eclipse. I'm so glad I was on this planet to remember and be a part of this.  Cam and Ashton went to John-O Billquist's house to see it. That was the best place ever!

The girls and I watched with Marmee and GG at their house; also with Aftie and Amy.

The best part was listening to the birds and feeling the temperature drop instantly! Quite an experience

Sillies

GG asked Aftie to draw her ideas of the eclipse- this is it! How does she do it. Seriously, I'm blown away by her talent.

Out for a little lunch in downtown Twin.

GG took all the littles to Elevation and then for school supplies. Could they be anymore spoiled!!

This was from a picture I took of the ground- you can see the eclipse through the shadow of the leaves.

Cam and Kevin Gibson donated their times, and talents to build me risers for my library

Then Cam helped me carpet the risers- NOT EASY!!!!

Since I've taken this picture- I've been updating more and more.

Mr. Lovstedt brought this back for me, from Washington DC.
I keep all my "little" books that I collect on the shelves behind my desk. My students love to look at them, and have also bought a few for me.  I'm always updating and changing the library- to make it better for my kiddos. I LOVE MY JOB!
